Over 300 Steel players have played at the NCAA Division I level since 2000 and 62 Steel alumni have been drafted by NHL teams since 2000.
Steel players, coaches, and mascot (Rusty) are active members of the community and visit local schools and non-profits to pass along their message of character, education and teaching of how to "Live Strong As Steel."

WHAT IS THE USHL?
The United States Hockey League (USHL) is the nation's only Tier 1 junior hockey league. Players ranging from 16 to 20 years old make up the rosters of the League's 16 Member Clubs. The USHL had 53 players selected in the 2025 NHL Draft and more than 300 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world's foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
