MACKLIN CELEBRINI NAMED USHL FORWARD OF THE WEEK

Boston University commit recorded seven points in two games Feb. 10 & 11

GENEVA, ILLINOIS— Chicago Steel rookie forward Macklin Celebrini has been named USHL Forward of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Monday.

Celebrini registered seven points (5G, 2A) in a pair of western matchups against the Omaha Lancers and Des Moines Buccaneers this past weekend, including his second career hat trick and two assists in Chicago's 7-4 victory over the Buccaneers Saturday, Feb. 11.

The Vancouver, British Columbia native and 2024 NHL Draft Prospect is currently first in the USHL in both points (54) and goals (28) in 34 games played.  Celebrini has registered 15 multi-point games and has been kept off the scoresheet just four times.

"Macklin is a dynamic player who continues to add layers to his game," said Steel Head Coach and General Manager Mike Garman. "He has an incredible work ethic and desire to help his team succeed. We're thrilled to watch his continued success and know the best is ahead for him."

Celebrini, a Boston University commit, previously earned the award on Nov. 3 and Dec. 19 and is one of six Steel players to earn USHL weekly honors along with teammates Jack Stark, Jack Harvey, Michael Emerson, Nick Moldenhauer, and Jayden Perron.

In his last ten games, Celebrini has 18 points (11G, 7A).

This weekend, the Steel are at home for a three-game holiday weekend.

On Friday, Feb. 17, the Steel will host a Slumberland Slumber Party as they battle the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders at 7:05 p.m. CT.
