Michael Gurska joined the Steel in the role of Director of Hockey Operationsprior to the start of the 2022-2023 season. Gurska was promoted to Assistant Coach prior to the 2023-2024 season.
Originally from Revere, Mass., Gurska most recently played for Wilkes University from 2018-2022 serving as team captain for three seasons where he holds the school record for games played and points for a defenseman. His hockey career included a stint for the Birmingham Bulls of the SPHL and two years of junior hockey for the Connecticut Jr. Rangers of the USPHL.
Gurska's previous work experience includes seven years as a shot tracker and quality control manager for Clear Sight Analytics in addition to time as a skills and video coach for Healy Hockey Development where he worked with professional, college, junior and prep school players in the New England area.
